In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Light Rail Relay (hereinafter referred to as the "Event"), organized by Nick Walker, I, the undersigned, agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risks

I am aware that participating in a relay event involves certain risks and hazards, including but not limited to, the risk of personal injury, property damage, and even death. I understand and acknowledge that these risks may be caused by my own actions, the actions of other participants, or the conditions of the route, including traffic and road conditions.

2. Health and Fitness

I certify that I am in good physical condition and have trained sufficiently to participate in the Event. I have consulted with a physician and have obtained medical clearance to participate if I have any known medical conditions that may affect my ability to safely participate in the Event.

3. Acknowledgment of Route Conditions

I understand that the Event route is not closed to traffic, and I am responsible for my own safety while participating. I will obey all traffic laws and instructions from event organizers, volunteers, and law enforcement personnel. I acknowledge that the route may have uneven pavement, hills, and other obstacles that can increase the risk of injury. I understand that failure to obey traffic laws may result in disqualification from the event.

4. Equipment and Attire

I am responsible for ensuring that I have the appropriate equipment and attire for the Event, including appropriate footwear, reflective gear if participating in low-light conditions, and any personal hydration or nutrition needs.

5. Waiver and Release

I hereby waive, release, and forever discharge Nick Walker, members of Race Condition Running, and all other persons or entities associated with the Event (collectively referred to as the "Released Parties") from any and all liability for any claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, whether at law or in equity, for damages, injuries, losses, or expenses that I may sustain as a result of my participation in the Event, including any claims arising from the negligence of the Released Parties.

6. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liabilities or claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of my actions during the Event.

7. Media Release

I grant Nick Walker the right to use my name, likeness, and any photographs, videos, or other media of me taken during the Event for promotional, advertising, or any other legitimate purposes without compensation.

8. Acknowledgment of Understanding

I have read and understand this Waiver and Release of Liability, and I voluntarily agree to its terms and conditions. I understand that by signing this waiver, I am giving up certain legal rights and remedies.
